1. Keep sessions very short
No more than 5 minutes once per day for 3 y/o child
2. Control movement
Keep hands and body still.
2. Keep voice low pitched
Just keep reminding child "low and slow"
3. Regardless of stage of training for pup/dog, keep child training commands minimalist
4. For young children, teach "yes!" and how to drop treat between pup/dog's paws or (for very young children), adult can deliver treat
5. After training, have child feed pup/dog (in a bowl not hand delivered) to reinforce heirarchy
6. Once "sit" is taught, train "shake", because every child loves to be able to command a "trick"
